The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.6 million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.

Sacred Heart Council was founded in 1993 through the efforts of the men in the parish. It is named after Sacred Heart Parish, in Tonganoxie, Kansas. The Sacred Heart Council works closely with the Sacred Heart Parish in Tonganoxie, providing funds for various projects, members being active participants in their parish. etc.

Regular council meetings are held the 2nd Sunday of each month 4th grade classroom of the parish center at 7:00 p.m.

4th Degree meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the K of C hall in Lawrence, KS at 7:00 p.m.
